Campaign 4 NY/NY Housing Issues Statement Responding to Governor Cuomo on $2 Billion Promised For Affordable Housing

New York, NY – August 12, 2016 – The Campaign 4 NY/NY Housing, in response to Governor Cuomo’s statement that he does not expect the $2 billion promised for affordable housing during state budget discussions to be made available until next year, issued the following statement:

“We are disappointed to hear that Governor Cuomo is not committed to signing the MOU eight months after he promised to create 20,000 units of supportive housing for homeless New Yorkers. Without a long-term commitment to fund supportive housing, his promise means nothing. Homeless people and taxpayers alike need Andrew Cuomo to keep his word."
